chevy 350 timing issues?

i have a 1970chevy k10 with a newer 80s 350 block. i tore it apart to replace head gaskets. i got it back together and it started right off the bat. i adjusted the the rockers statically to get them in the ball park. i pulled the vacuum advance and plugged it. when i started the truck let it warm up and checked the timing with a dial back gun it said it was 50 degrees advanced. so naturally i thought the gun was bad. two other guns gave the same reading. i turned the motor over so the balancer lined up with zero on the pointer and checked number one cylinder it was at tdc. also it runs smooth with plenty of power, it does get hot faster than normal i assume it is due to advanced timing.

I really like the older 90's trucks, yes! Not the older ones though.

I spelled everything right except for that car...bite me. I've got a college degree in English and it's not even my first language. Once again I say, bite me.

EDIT: What do you mean "dad's Buick"...I have a super-charged 97' Reviera with gage wheels and lambo doors...I don't think that my dad even likes it.

I couldn't tell the exact time frame of the last 10 minutes of the film. I know that Natalie was going to London, Ontario but did not know if she was taking Keith his truck or if he had already died and she was going to live out his dream of going there. I have seen it 2 times and I am still not 100% sure. Can you tell me what you think? It was a great movie either way.

1989 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup Heat & A/C controls don't work?

Recently I was driving with the heat on and i stopped at my destination. After I shut my truck off, i heard a pop sound and after a soft "zzzz" sound as if air was leaking out of something. I went to investigate and found black smoke with a odor (of burning rubber maybe) in my truck. When i turn my truck on now, the A/C or Heat doesn't work. Nothing blows out of the vents in my truck, but yesterday when i started up my truck the center controls started to work again and i heard a clicking noise coming from the blower motor (as if it was trying to work) but when i started to turn the A/C higher, it shut off and now all it does is blow out miserable hot air. I just replaced the blower motor today, and it is pretty much useless because i cannot turn anything on because my center controls on my Heat& A/C unit do not work.

What may be causing this problem?

p.s - when i turn the lights on my truck on, the border of the controls light up, but not the actual controls. (They are electrical controls)

I live in nj and i was walking around town and noticed something, all the usps mail trucks in my town and neighboring towns have the steering wheel on the right side, like in london and various other places in europe, instead of the left like the U.S. Why is this?

My husband's 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer stopped on him yesterday. He was a few weeks overdue for an oil change and the oil in his truck was black and completely dirty. He drained the oil out and put new oil in the car but then it started clicking when he cranked it up. Now it won't crank or do anything. What could be wrong with it?

I just turned twelve. Me and my parents moved to Kentucky a month ago. I don't really know why but I know we went like broke or something and lost like all of our stuff I think. But now we have all new stuff. I have like 5 friends and they all play baseball and I showed up at a park one day when we first moved and asked if I could play. I am naturally good they say. Now we play 3 on 3 like every day. I was a nerd and didn't play any sports at all. I just read all day back at the old city. I don't want to be the nerd with no friends again. I just don't know if it would be rude to ask to play in a league since I think we are going through bad times or something. But I don't know. They got me a cell phone and stuff. I think my dad is a truck driver and my mom is the lady who answers phones at an office. But we honestly got ALL new stuff because we had to give all of our stuff away. We live in a kind of small house and I think we have a Buick SUV thing and a Mercury Car. They are both older I think. I really like cars too. But I don't know if I should ask because money might be a problem. Sorry if I confused you. I just don't know. Please help!

My truck started shacking when running and will not respond fast enough. My dad did a tune up on the truck. when i took the truck to a mechanic he stated that it was coil #4 and the egr sensor. I have since changed the coil twice and the spark plug twice. i also changed the egr sensor. but the truck still reads that the coil #4 is still bad and my truck has not gotten any better. please help. i was told that it could be the wiring but i was told that my truck does not have any wiring. i really need help.. i have a 1998 lincoln navigator..
