Question #4:

How to relax while ice skating?

As a child I knew how to ice skate, today I'm 17 last year I was ice skating with friends, actually I tried to do it cuz I forgot it, but I couldn't even if I went for few weeks, today it's the first time this year I went ice skating I know the moves, knees and all those stuff but I am scared as s**t I just can't relax...friends tell me everything will be ok after a while but obviously (last year) nothing happened...all the time I'm looking at my feet...if I look straight ahead I get nervous is someone going to fell in front of me or something similar and on the other side if I look at random stuff around me I can't concentrate enough! WHAT CAN I DO? I HAVE FEELING I WILL NEVER LEARN TO ICE SKATE! Very ironic thing is that my parent got hooked up while they were ice skating, they skate as a pro....

how do you make your spouse to be more fit, outdoorsy?

I grew up in a family where we were always hiking, skiing, skating, riding bicycles, and if I can walk somewhere, I rather not drive. My husband's family won't even walk across the street, if they can drive. They just sit around and eat. He grew up that way, and he is getting better, but I want do do more, I feel cabin fevered all the time.

Question #9:

I'm scared to go skating today?

So, today is the very first day that I can be back on the ice from a concussion I suffered playing hockey. This is my fourth concussion in less than a year, and they have me sitting out for three months. This is the end of month two, and now I can skate. I am going in a few hours to the rink for the first time since my last concussion.

I feel really scared that I am going to hit my head again, and never get to play again or something. I am going to wear my helmet and mouth guard, just to be safe. And I know there isn't anything more I can do to protect myself. But I am still feeling unconfident about being on the ice, despite the excitement. Does anyone have any words of encouragement for me? Thank you.

Question #10:

Is it illegal to ride a bike or moped drunk?

Of course, we all know it's illegal to drink and drive, but is it illegal (in the US or elsewhere) to ride ("drive") a bicycle/skateboard/skates while intoxicated? Are things like mopeds or electric scooters placed in the same category as "motor vehicles"?

In the US, I believe it is illegal to be intoxicated in public, but if you are caught on a bike, etc., is that considered a different crime, i.e. it's illegal to ride a bike drunk, not just because you are in public drunk?

Question #12:

Where can I see Pair Figure Skating?!?

I love figure skating and I have been following the Grand Prix from Moscow to Paris, etc, but NBC only shows the Single Men and Women's competition and always leaves out the Pairs and never shows the short programs and only airs the free skate long one of four minutes.

Aside from IceNetwork (which charges $29.00 a month for the membership) where can I see the whole thing?

Thanks!

Question #13:

Why is Obama's adm fighting to try terrorist in civilian court instead of military court setup for such things?

It seems very strange to me that they are having hearings to determine why the Obama administration wants to change this. So far I haven't heard a good reason from Holder, other than it "can be done."

The fact that I can roller skate doesn't mean it's a good idea to wear roller skates to work.

LOL! Great logic you first two!

So they are civilians to be tried in civilian court. Wonder why we didn't do that when the Japanese attacked Hawaii? BECAUSE they were NOT civilians. Had not a damn thing to do with who they killed.

Boy you guys are ate up with Obama hype. The Union used military tribunals during and in the immediate aftermath of the American Civil War. The Lincoln conspirators were also tried by military commission in the spring and summer of 1865.

They were used in the American Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Spanish-American War, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered military tribunals for eight German prisoners accused of planning sabotage in the United States as part of Operation Pastorius while on USA SOIL... All eight of the accused were convicted and sentenced to death.
I think Holders only fear, is that if they are tired in a military tribunal, the judge will not throw out their torture claims, as will be done here in the USA in a civilian trial so Obama and Holder can gloat and say, "See, I told you so... Bush was bad... be we still were able to convict them... whew, it was close!! Thank us for barely pulling it out with the mess that Bush made of things."
I am simply amazed that people will defend an Obama decision when they don't have the slightest clue what it is about other than Obama said it.

No wonder things like Jonestown, David Koresh - Branch Davidians, Manson Family, etc., can happen. Even Timothy McVeigh did his dirty deeds from what he saw at the Branch Davidians compound.

Holder keeps saying that we should cower and not be afraid. Do you know of anyone that is afraid of trying these terrorists in the USA? I've not heard one. The FEAR is that they will get off and escape execution. Holder is using a play on words by suggesting that Americans are afraid of terrorists and don't want them tried in the USA.
