Question #1:

Where northwest of Sydney is this?

This is a photo from the plane coming home to Sydney from Darwin.
My son says it is the quarries out near Penrith but I told him we flew from the northwest not west. I know this as we flew west on the way to Darwin.
Does anybody know where it is?

Question #2:

Crazy cal3 questions plz help!!!?

Find the mass of the lamina that is the portion of the surface y^2= 4-z between the planes x=0, x=3, y=0, and y=3 if the density is sigma(x,y,z)= y

use a line integral to find the area of the region enclosed by astroid x=acos^3(t), y=asin^3(t) (0 less than or equal to t and less than or equal to 2pi)

please show works and will be greatly appreciated

use Green's Theorem to find the work done by the force field
F(x,y) = xyi + ( 1/2 x^2 + xy) j on particle that starts at (5,0) traverses the upper semicircle x^2 + y^2 =25 and returns to its starting point along the x-axis.

Thank you and would be greatly appreciated

Question #3:

Can anyone analyse my dream for me?

I had the strangest dream last night and I was hoping someone could analyse it for me.

I was on the top floor of an old building with my friends. There was no roof and the walls were crumbling a bit so they were quite low and we could see over them.

At one point in the wall was cracked all the way down to the floor and through the gap I could see right out to the ocean and there was the most amazing sun set. I turned around to grab my camera but by I turned back around the sun had set and the sky was really dark blue. When I looked through my camera though the sky turned all psychedelic as if through a kaleidoscope.

A few seconds later though planes started flying over head and they were shooting at the building. They shot rockets out that got stuck in the walls and we all had to get out as they were on timers and I woke up just as we were all running for the door.

Question #4:

Can anyone solve this statistic problem?

The probability that a single radar station will detect an enemy plane is 0.65,
1) How many stations are required to be 98% certain that an enemy plane flying over will be detected by at least one station?
2) If four stations are in use, what is the expected number of stations that will detect an enemy plane.

I will give out maximum points for the steps and correct answers. Thanks.

Question #5:

When the wheels on a plane fails to initiate, how does it land?

The landing gear wheels on the plane does not come out. How can it land with all other parts working?

Question #6:

Can I take this on my flight?

I'm moving overseas and the packers wouldn't pack my perfumes or nail polish (which I sort of expected). The nail polish I can throw out, it's old & I never use it anyways. But my perfume was expensive, & I'd like to take it with me. It's been a while since I was on a plane, and I haven't found the exact answer I was looking for on the TSA site. I don't care whether its in my carry-on or not, in fact I'd prefer to put it in my luggage in a zip-loc bag or something. I have 3 perfumes, 4.2 oz bottle that's half-empty, 1.7 oz that's half-empty, and a full bottle that's 2.5 fl oz. Can I stick those in a baggie in my luggage, or does it need to be in my carry-on? I just want to make sure I do it right, if they throw out my perfume I'm gonna be P*SSED.
Thanks!
ok, you both claim to be flight attendants, but you have 2 different answers...?

Question #7:

What can my father find out about my flight?

I'm going on vacation with my boyfriend next month, but unfortunately had to lie to my parents in order to go (said a female friend of mine was accompanying us as well). How much can my father find out about my flight- is there any way he can have access to the passenger list or discover my female friend wasn't on the plane?
Also, I'd like to add that my father has a lot of friends that are lawyers, judges, or work in the police field- could he get a warrant or subpoena to find out who's on the passenger list?

Question #10:

what can i do about my cousin?

Ok here's the story. We've been best friends since he moved from texas in 2002. We did everything together and always stayed at each others houses. Now that he graduated high school and turned 18, he does whatever he wants. He drinks like crazy, he partys, he gambles, and he even shoplifts which I told him to stop. He has not taken the sats or signed up for classes at a community college. He had a job at mcdonalds which he decided to quit after 2 weeks. Now, his mom kicked out of the house (single parent) and he has no where to go. Should I buy him a plane ticket to live with me in my apartment and charge him rent? I could convince him to go to the junior college near my place, he has about $1500 in his bank. Or should I not do anything and see where he ends up? After all, he is family.

Question #13:

Duty Free and the 100ml rule?

I'm travelling overseas shortly and it occurred to me that duty free alcohol, perfume etc. would presumably infringe against the liquids rule for international flights, as many exceed 100ml in volume. How does the system work now? Can you still purchase duty free alcohol and other liquids on your way out of the country, or do you have to wait until you're off the plane at the other end?

Question #14:

Hi I heard that there was a plane crash in Pakistan?

i don't know anything about politics but i do feel sorry for those victims :(

Question #15:

2012 end of the world might be true?

I know it's sound stupid but if you look at the news you'll see thousands of deaths from plane crash, flash floods, earthquakes and typhoons and etc. They arent used to be as greater extent as this. It's like they're happening again and again. In addition to the natural disasters, economic crisis is also going along and might become worst in the months to come.

I know that a 11 year old kid shouldn't be worrying about nonsense stuffs like this but as the time flows, catastrophes keep on increasing the death toll of the people who die from 2009-present due of such ominous events.

Question #16:

calculus 3 questions HELP!!!?

Use the Divergence Theorem to find the outward flux of the vector field F(x,y,z)=xi+yj+zk across the surface of the solid bounded by the paraboloid z=1-x^2-y^2 and the xy-plane.

let the surface sigma be the paraboloid z= x^2+y^2 capped by the disk x^2 + y^2 less than or equal to 1 in the plane z=1. Verify the Divergence Theorem for F(x,y,z)= 2xi-yzj+z^2K

please show work and it would be greatly appreciated
3. Verify Stoke's Theorem for F(x,y,z)= (z-y)i+(z+x)j-(x+y)k, taking sigma to be the portion of the paraboloid z= 9-x^2-y^2 above the xy-plane with upward orientation

Question #18:

leaving wallet at airport?

So I left my wallet in the American Airlines plane and they called me this morning letting me know they will mail it to me, i forgot to ask how long it will take. Does anyone have an idea on how long?? My flight was to LAX and I live about 45 mins away from the airport.

Question #19:

I can't believe I'm going to ask this?

I told myself I wouldn't ask this, because it's so hard to make an accurate recommendation.

Anyways, I'm going on vacation in nine days halfway across the world. The trip is going to take at least fourteen hours. I'll be bringing my iPod on the planes with me (there are a couple of different planes we'll take), but it will get boring after a while, not to mention the battery will die out. Yes, there probably will be little televisions on the plane, but I'd rather not watch them for 14 hours or more. I decided I'll be bringing two or three books with me, to "keep me company." I am tempted to tell yuo my age, but won't because I don't want books that are age specified. I like to read fantasy books, but am honestly open to anything. I don't really read non-fiction unless it's super interesting. Here are some of the books that I've read and thoroughly enjoyed.
-The Harry Potter Series
-Inheritance Cycle
-Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
-Tangerine
-Hardy Boys Series (I'm too old for these now)
-Percy Jackson and the Olympians
-Septimus Heap Series
-Dragon Rider
-A Night to Remember

That's all I can remember right now. I don't want to read the Twilight series (just not my thing) and also my mom will be reading it. I don't mind books about vampires (especially if they're from a guy's point of view or in third person about a guy). I also think it would be cool to read a book about Angels (nothing from Dan Brown, I don't feel like bringing them). I also don't care if you recommend books about shape shifters or werewolves, as long as they're unique. And please don't recommend the Chronicles of Narnia.

Again, I really am open to any book, as long as they follow what I've written. Oh, and make sure they aren't GIGANTIC because there is a weight limit for carrying bags. If it is huge, it has to be one interesting, captivating book. One that won't get boring. Thanks for all the help.
I almost forgot, I am a male.
I am able to read more mature books. There are a lot of books that I haven't listed because I can't think of them. Trust me, I am all on for more mature books. Don't let the one's I've listed fool you.

Question #20:

did you get the inception movie?

hello, i just watched the new movie inception, it was good but pretty confusing, but at the end was lost,.. at the end when they all wake up in the plane, did they all know each other or was it all a dream and they just happened to be in the same dream together?
