Travel from North to South islands New Zealand?

Would it be possible to take a boat to travel between the two islands?
Does anyone know the legal stuff, have any reccomendations to do this?

Also: it would have to be a rented boat. not like a ferry.

So my bf and I have only been dating three weeks but i fell in love with him at first site. We are both 24 years old. The first two weeks he would tell me how much he liked me and how amazing i was and that he was going to fall in love with me. He is in the navy and last thursday they were going to send him to the east coast to live there for orders but he got out of it and is staying another 5 months. Then on friday we went out but we got into a big fight because i was very intoxicated and told him were over three times although i dont remember saying that when we got back to the house he told me we should break up because i cant do this drama and especially when i go away this isnt going to work out. But he told me he really liked me and i said i would never do it again and im giving up drinking which i did. He forgave me and then we had sex that night for the first time and it was special for me because i was a virgin. Then on saturday we hung out with his friends all day and night but i was very quiet because around people i dont know im quiet and reserved so that night we went to a bbq and i had a huge migraine and didnt feel good so i was quiet but talked every now and then but i mostly listened and laughed at everybodys jokes. That night we got home we had sex again for the third time. But in the morning he was still flirty and calling me babe and baby but he had to go clean his house so i left at noon so he could do that. But then this week he has barely called me and i havent heard from him since monday night. He had duty yesterday i guess which he has to stay on the boat for 24 hours. But i wished him a good day yesterday but he never text or called me and i feel that hes going to break up with me but if he was bothered by the weekend wouldnt he of just done it sunday and wouldnt have taken my virginity if he didnt like me because so far he has been a gentlemen. What should i think?

I broke up with my girlfriend 2 years ago. A year and a half ago a started sleeping with her again but she didn't want to get back together at that time. this went on for about 6 months or so. we lost touch for about three months in which time she declared that she was in a relationship with another guy from uni, i was shattered. we kept in touch after that for about three months but i was hurting so i blocked her on face book so that i wouldn't be tempted to cyber stalk her lol. but just tonight (a year down the track) i had a missed call from her and decided to unblock her because i was too nervous to call her back... she sent me a message on facebook saying "Sudden cessation of radio silence...

Why?" 1. I still have feelings for her but i thinks she's a cool chick anyway but how to i say that without being to full on?

I Haven't spoken to her in a year so anything i say seems... weird (not the word i'm looking for). I'm 21 by the way but this probably seems like the kind of question a 16 year old would ask... Oh and she is not single but i am and i wouldn't want to shake the boat there...

Do you teach your kids 'Personal Responsibility'?

This question kind of popped in to my head when I was reading an article in my diving magazine - a guy was writing about how when he went on a trip, there were people on the dive boat with him who were infuriated at the fact that they had to check their own enriched oxygen tanks. Yes, the person who originally fills the tanks has to check them but it's common sense to check again YOURSELF, because once your under the water - no one can hear you. The writer also commented about how these same people are probably the type who would sue in an instant if something were to go wrong - and I agree.

So, people must get this "blame anyone but myself" attitude from somewhere, right ? I do realise this seems to be a trend in this generation but still .. it's one of the worst things when someone does something like say - forget to write a midterm paper and their excuse is "My mom broke the computer so I couldn't do it" - well, there are libraries with computers and things like .. yaknow .. books ?

So - instead of ranting further .. Do you teach your children to take personal responsibility for their actions and injuries (provided they did cause it themselves!) or do you just let them blame anyone and everyone ? If you're the former, what do you do when your child does start to try and blame others for things that they're at fault for ?

I had a movie on vidio once but I dont have it anymore. The movie was about a girl without a mother (the girl may have had a sister) living with her father. they go to some magic place on a boat and they are attacked by trolls (the trolls are the movie highlight) the girl uses a magic necklace and does magic.if i remember right even a dragon skull is seen somewhere in the movie.

Should I let my parents send me away?

My mom and dad are going through a custody battle (they have been separated even before I was born) because my mom is a non-functional drunk and uses me as a reason to fuel her addiction. But now my dads trying to get 100% custody of me, I really don't want to live with him but theres no way I can handle my mom everyday drunk passed out on the floor! I have been living with my dad for 3 years and he has primary physical custody, although my dad is so self-fish! He's only marrying his fiance because she just got a million dollars from a court battle! And he spends her money everyday. he buys boats, houses and goes on vacation all the time, but he gets upset because if I wasn't there he wouldn't have to come back! But the true problem is, is that I couldn't take it anymore so I ran away last wed. on my 16th birthday. And ever since then my dad brought up me going to maui hawaii where my grandparents live for 2weeks. But everyone is forcing me to go but I really don't want to go! And even though everyone denies this I have a feeling that my dads going to make me live on a island for a year! Like oh sorry the two weeks are over you have to live there. And then what can I do I'll be stuck on a island with no opportunities(because I'm about to get my head shots to be a model) , no friends like I wouldn't even get to say bye to them, and they have a really bad school there! (right now I go to a private catholic high school) Also, my dads not even going just me! Why wouldn't he go, If he wasn't sending me off there? Soo should I go and risk everything? And by the way right now I'm far from where I live right now, so if I ran away again then I wouldn't know where to go. And I have no friends who I can stay with here. Or should I fight it and go live with some other family member? Because my dad and his "wife" want to plan there wedding which i'm not invited to!
