Answer #1:

Sport chek.

Answer #2:

I buy inline skates (and other sporting equipment) at United Cycle (address information is listed under "source" below).

I haven't purchased any in a while, but the last time I did they were amazing! They staff there are VERY well trained in the products they sell and use the products themselves so they know that's good and what's not. They've always seemed very knowledgeable and were able to make good recommendations based on my individual needs. I've always had the impression the staff I've encountered weren't there just because it's a job, but because they liked what they did, and enjoyed helping people, and wanted you to walk out of the store happy. When they didn't have what I wanted or thought I could do better elsewhere, they were honest, and directed me to where I needed to go.

I've never found that level of service in a chain sporting goods store or "big box" store, so I'll remain a customer of United Cycle as long as they exist. My father bought my first pair of ice skates there and I've always gone back. Their reputation is gold, as far as I'm concerned. :)

Answer #3:

inlinewarehouse.com
skates.com

Sorry but there aren't any skate shops around any more. When you order online, get what you want in the two sizes that might fit and return the one that doesn't fit. Just don't skate in them or you will mark up the wheels and they won't take them back. Stand in them on carpeting.
