Question: What are the best rollerblades?

Answer #1:
Go on skatelogforum.com and start reading.Go on inlinewarehouse.com and start looking at whats available in your price range.
Buy only Rollerblade or K2 brand! I mean this! Everything else is a waste of money and time!
Bigger wheels and longer frames will give you more speed and stability. It will roll smoother and go over small cracks and other imperfections on the trail.
If you are a newbie (no skating, not even ice) stick with a skate that has a wheel 84mm and smaller.
Someone who is a skater would benefit from a 90mm setup.
Someone who is experienced and really wants to cruise and get into speed could try a 100mm setup.
Someone who gets a 110mm setup and doesn't know what I'm talking about, needs their head examined.
Get protection. I recommend Rollerblade Lux combo wrist/knee/elbow pads. Around $40. Cheaper than the first doctors appointment when you fall. A good bike helmet is just as crucial. $15 at walmart is fine but will be hot and won't adjust easily. $30 gets you a better, lighter, and one that will keep you cooler. If you go to a bike shop (performancebike.com) you can find even nicer ones that are made for woman's ponytails.
Please find out if there are any skating clubs in your area. They are the best source for tips and other answers to skating equipment questions. If you are in the central MD area, contact me if for all skating help.
