nothing is wrong with you. it is not your fault. something is wrong with your dad though.

there isn't anything wrong with you .Your father is the one with the problem.I'm not sure how old you are but you need to be there for your mother. Ask her how you can help

My mother did the same thing, only she took us with her. 20 years later, my mother let us speak to our father and we got to hear both sides of the story. I'm not too happy with my mother for the route she chose, but just remember, there's two sides to the story. My mother always said that my father was a bad father and she didn't want us around him. Turns out my mother was sleeping around on my father. Don't assume it's your fault, it's never the kids fault. EVER.

This unfortunate event is NEVER about something being wrong with kids. You've done nothing wrong at all. This is a problem that your Dad is having.

If he really said that to your mom, its not only a lie, its just an excuse for something else that is going wrong with his life.

Maybe your parents were trying to work out a problem while you and your brother were away, but it did not work out. Can you ask your mom some more questions?

What's most important is you DO NOT blame yourself. This is not your fault, it's his issue.
