Question: Why are my breasts engorged?

I really can't see it being the elevation, but then again I have heard of wierder things happening. I would think its because of not expressing.

Elevation can do funny things to people but it's far more likely to be the gap in time.

The time can absolutely do it! Also the climate/elevation change can play a big part. For some reason, although it was a time that my daughter would normally have slept anyways, my breasts were very sore and engorged when I drove from Phoenix to Los Angeles.
Next time try hand expressing. It's easy and will at least relieve some of the pressure.

it's prob from not expressing. next time that happens, just try to hand express or wear a sports bra over your regular bra until you can get to the baby.
